Yard Trimming Collection Guidelines
|Please follow these Opens a New Window. guidelines when placing yard trimmings out for collection:|
|Manageable Piles||Unmanageable Piles|
NOTE: If you have multiple 6' x 4' x 4' piles, all of the debris may not be collected at one time. Depending upon the volume, it may take several weeks to collect the material. Crews spend approximately 15 minutes at each residence so daily routes are completed. If you have a large volume and want to ensure all debris is collected at one time, or if your debris does not meet the weekly collection criteria, contact Customer Service at 972-769-4150 to schedule a Special Paid Collection.
Special Paid Collection
Special Paid Collection service is $10 per cubic yard (3'x3'x3'), subject to a $20 minimum fee. This service must be utilized for yard trimming collections that do not meet the weekly yard trimming criteria, bulky items outside your normal collection day, and/or any large amount of construction debris from major household renovation typically performed by a private contractor.
Refrigerators, freezers, window a/c units, water coolers, etc., must be scheduled as paid collection at $25 each unit.
Special Paid Collections are scheduled through Customer Service at 972-769-4150 and charges will appear on your City of Plano utility bill. Special Paid Collections are completed with a boom truck; a large truck with a crane that lifts items into the bed of the truck. Debris for collection must be clear of all obstacles, such as fence, gas meter, mailbox, low hanging wires, etc.
